Megan Maguire
Megan received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom (UK), in 2020. She is a licensed Speech and Language Therapist by the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and is registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
Megan has previously worked as a Speech and Language Therapist in London, UK. She has worked in various mainstream school settings, a specialist language provision and a specialist provision for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Megan is trained in the SCERTS® Model, a research-based educational approach and multidisciplinary framework that directly addresses the core challenges faced by children and persons with Autism. She has also received training in Makaton, and has experience in both assessing and delivering interventions for pre-literacy and literacy skills.

Megan has delivered training on speech, language and communication needs to teachers and has also trained special education staff on how to deliver specific interventions with students, such as Lego therapy.
Megan has experience working in the following clinical areas: Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and language disorders associated with genetic or neurological differentiating conditions (e.g. learning disability), language delay, speech sound delay and disorders, ASD, dysfluency/stammering, global developmental delay, social communication disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and attachment disorders.
Megan believes that in order to provide effective strategies and intervention to support children, it is vital to collaborate with their families, teachers and other professionals.
