Nuala Genyk

Nuala is a physiotherapist with a special interest in pediatrics and dance medicine. Nuala started her journey learning about the human body by completing her BSc in Exercise and Health Physiology from the University of Calgary, Canada. She received her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy in 2006 from the University of Alberta, Canada. She started her physiotherapy career working in acute care at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. She then worked at several private practice clinics where she treated a variety of adults with musculoskeletal concerns. At Perfect Balance, she treats children and support parents with high quality pediatric physiotherapy care.  

Nuala moved to Abu Dhabi in 2019, and lives with her husband and two young children. In her spare time, Nuala enjoys running, reading and when the weather allows it, spending lots of time outdoors with her family.

Nuala started her pediatric career in 2009, when she joined Calgary Youth Physiotherapy. Throughout her ten year career at CYP, Nuala enjoyed treating children and adults neurological and orthopedic conditions. Nuala is passionate about working with children and helping families achieve their goals, staying or become as active as possible beyond injuries, diseases and health conditions or individual differences. 

Nuala has also been fortunate enough to work with young dancers at the Alberta School of Ballet’s pre-professional program. She has also had the opportunity to work with the cast of touring Broadway shows through Neurotour Physical Therapy.
