Hiten Maisuria

Head of Physiotherapy

Hiten is our head of physiotherapy. He qualified as a Physiotherapist from Brunel University London in 2010. Since then, he has gained a wealth of knowledge and skills working in a variety of settings in the UK and the UAE. Before moving to Abu Dhabi, Hiten worked as the Clinical Team Lead MSK Physiotherapist at the Whittington Hospital, North London (NHS). Here, he managed a team of clinical staff alongside his caseload of patients. He provided treatment and education to patients and staff with his passion for evidence-based practice.

Later, he progressed working in professional sport as the Academy Physiotherapist with Queens Park Rangers FC for three and a half years. Hiten worked with elite level athletes gaining skills in rehabilitation and injury prevention. In his most recent role at Yas Physiotherapy, Hiten worked with the National Jiu-Jitsu Team in Abu Dhabi. He helped make changes to their approach in understanding recovery, the importance of sleep, and managing training loads. 


Hiten is pleased to join a great team of Senior Physiotherapists at Perfect Balance. In addition to his role here, he will also be working with the Lahore Qalanders Cricket Team during the cricket season.​

Hiten has the skills, knowledge, and experience to help his patients take control of pain and rehab towards reaching their goals. He believes in empowering his patients to understand their pain problems to help build resilience in their system. He uses manual therapy, education, and exercise through a strength and conditioning approach. Hiten has a strong interest in sports injury rehab and prevention, as well as long-term pain problems. He has a special interest in lower back pain, shoulder disorders, and tendon pain (Tendinopathy).

Hiten enjoys watching sport particularly football and cricket. He likes keeping fit and active by hiking, playing football, and going to the gym. He is also passionate about traveling and culture.
